Fragments
2020 - ongoing
Fragments is an ongoing series of images taken while travelling. It is a collection of photographs bounded together by a sense of eeriness, surrealism and quirkiness, which are the recurring elements in both my personal and commissioned work.
These images are portions of space, time and narratives that are meant to intertwine in an ever-changing fictional story, composed in the mind of every viewer.
Started as a study of scale and space, given the author's background in architecture, it evolved over time into the synthesis of his practice: an angle between architectural and documentary imagery making, where the composition plays with scale and color in order to introduce elements of fiction. Nonetheless, the photographs do not lose their descriptive quality, but rather suggest a new and unusual point on view to stimulate imagination.
This series is also meant to be a visual diary of my travels; a repository where I archive and store images inspired by a lingering larger narrative hidden in my mind.
